DEBUT ALBUM "HEROES WON'T WORK" - released november 2012

Lullabies for people, who sometimes forget to wake up: through the fluffy veil of the universe of A Crashed Blackbird Called Rosehip the world out there only seeps through as a background noise. Their debut album is an acoustic picture missing out on bright colors. Primarily the grey scales dominate in Dominik Kesseli' and Marie Malou ' s visual idea of their soundscapes. Disharmony is part of their concept. It carries their hungry beats, that are lightened up by electric nuances and are broken down by a reduced E-guitar or summing trombones, flutes and other soundscapes. The duo from St.Gallen/Switzerland builds up emotions in their music in minimalistic ways. They take you on a journey from devil-may-care rainy sundays to the dramatism in David Lynch ' s soundtracks and on to two-voiced lines with whom you' ' d like to spend the night with. The broken down beats follow you, sometimes forlorn, with the voices giving you the warm body that makes you want to hear more. (Marco Rüegg / translation Natasha Waters)
